Eagles-Raiders Trade: Philadelphia Lands CB Jakorian Bennett, Sends DL Thomas Booker IV to Las Vegas

In a player-for-player deal, the Philadelphia Eagles sent defensive lineman Thomas Booker IV to Las Vegas and acquired cornerback Jakorian Bennett.
Philadelphia Eagles Receive:
- CB Jakorian Bennett: The Raiders selected Bennett in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and he played 24 games in his career, 11 of which were starts. On the outside, he is renowned for his quickness and competitive advantage. Bennett played in 10 games in 2024 despite having surgery to repair a torn labrum. As the nearest defender, he recorded 26 tackles, eight pass deflections, and only gave up 23 catches for 294 yards and two touchdowns on 45 targets. He was given an 86.7 passer rating. Despite being fully healthy for the first time in years, Bennett recently had to play mostly with the second and third teams during training camp and off-season activities because of fierce competition at cornerback in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Raiders Receive:
- DL Thomas Booker IV: The 2022 Houston Texans selected Booker in the fifth round. He played for the Eagles the previous season, making 17 appearances (including one start) and recording 18 tackles and a sack. After playing 10 games as a rookie with Houston, Booker spent the 2023 season on the Eagles’ practice squad. He is anticipated to give the Raiders’ defensive line, which has undergone adjustments since Christian Wilkins was cut, much-needed depth. Las Vegas has been switching up their defensive tackle lineup during training camp, which has given Booker a chance to contend for a big part.
- After cutting ties with veteran Darius Slay this offseason, the Eagles have an open competition for the outside cornerback position opposite Quinyon Mitchell. Bennett will compete to establish the depth chart as Adoree’ Jackson and Kelee Ringo share first-team reps.
- Booker is a versatile and young interior defender who helps the Raiders, who are struggling with injuries and roster turnover on the defensive line.
Before becoming official, the trade is awaiting physical examinations from both parties.
The Raiders’ pursuit of dependable defensive line contributors for the 2025 campaign and the Eagles’ proactive attempts to bolster their secondary depth are reflected in this move.
