Iran Attacks US Base!

On Monday, June 23, 2025, Iran retaliated for US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend by firing several missiles at the US-run Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran made the attack public and called it “Operation Fatah’s Blessing.”

The incoming missiles were intercepted by Qatar’s air defense systems, and the base has not sustained any serious damage or casualties.

Some US military aircraft had been moved out before the attack, and the base had been partially evacuated beforehand.

Following the incident, Qatar declared the attack to be an infringement on its sovereignty and temporarily closed its airspace.

The US and Iran have warned of more repercussions if the conflict intensifies, and the situation is still tense.

Qatar reaffirmed its right to respond in line with international law and denounced the Iranian attack as a breach of its sovereignty.

As a precaution, the US and Qatar reportedly relocated some military assets out of Al Udeid Air Base a few days prior to the attack.
